44 South West serves simple but tastefully-prepared Italian food in a cozy, intimate setting. Appetizers include roasted peppers, rollatini, and homemade mozzarella. Personal pizzas (including a shrimp-topped version) are available, as are familiar Italian chicken, lamb, beef, and fish entrees, and a long, nearly comprehensive list of pastas and sauces. This is less a "Little Italy" type of place than an upscale version that's still true to its roots.
