La Carreta on Bluebonnet buzzes with energy — a good crowd, music and busy waiters.The restaurant, with a handsome entrance fronted by tall palm trees and flowering hibiscus, offers a generous menu inside, with a variety that includes traditional and not-so-traditional Mexican dishes. A basket of warm tortilla chips and plenty of well-seasoned salsa is brought to the table with a convenient touch — the salsa was served in a beaker, so there was plenty to go around, to replenish individual saucers.
