Sanraku has won considerable praise for the freshness of its ingredients (particularly its fish) and the meticulous preparation of its dishes. In a town with so many good Japanese restraurants, such gradations are fine but important distinctions. A small and very simply decorated room, Sanraku nonetheless impresses with its refinement and understated elegance.
