Born of a very small downtown convenience store-turned-diner, Kool Beanz Café is a no-frills, 48-seater and has become something of a local culinary icon. It is a rich lode of creativity with the uninhibited use of color, closely spaced bentwood cafe chairs and paper-spread tabletops. The atmosphere is loud and easy going. They serve an eclectic Creole American cuisine with plenty of Southwestern ethnic twist. Entrées include duck, quail, chicken, steak, pork and seafood selections. Their wine list features domestic and imported selections.
