One of the most elegant of Joachim Splichal´s series of California-style bistros, Pinot Provence is situated in the lobby of The Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa, California. Under the culinary guidance of Executive Chef Florent Marneau and Splichal, the restaurant´s menu features Mediterranean fare served in a rustic yet elegant environment. Both the restaurant´s design and menu recall Splichal´s early days in Southern France, where he began his culinary career. The 150-seat restaurant offers two outdoor patios and three casually chic private dining rooms, decorated in the Provençal style. Interior designer Cheryl Brantner, who received acclaim for designing several of Splichal´s other restaurants, contributed her talents to the new site after she and Splichal returned from a trip to Southern France, where they purchased a number of antiques and accessories.
