Since it's opening in April 2002, Max Restaurant and chef/owner Andre Guerrero have been singled out by Esquire Magazine as one of the nation's best new restaurants. The cuisine is best described as Cal-Asian, offering inventive salads, house-smoked specialties, fresh seafood dishes, as well as vegetarian choices and delicacies such as foie gras and duck confit.
