Offering an American menu with French and Russian influences, the fare at Hillwood's café is inspired by the life and legacy of Marjorie Merriweather Post (1887-1973), the founder of Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens and only child of cereal magnate C.W. Post. Lunch features signature items including Shchi, a cabbage soup with chicken, potatoes, carrots and dill, Russian Salad with red and gold beets, mixed greens, champagne vinaigrette and a Grape Nuts tuile and Strawberries Romanoff for dessert. Hillwood Café also offers a quintessential Afternoon Tea with an assortment of Canapés, Mini Buckwheat Blini, Berry Pavlova, Almond Hazelnut Vienna Cookies and Sugar-Frosted Fruit.
