Offering new urbane American fare with multicultural influences
since 1995, Nemo is the brainchild of Myles Chefetz and Michael Schwartz. Besides the main dining room and breezy terrace and courtyard, the focal point is the open kitchen and interactive food bar that establishes a relaxed and inviting rhythm, while emitting a blast of fiery light into the room. The bar shimmers with hammered copper surrounded by an ostrich motif that includes lighting fixtures with actual eggs in them and ostrich-like “skin” on walls and surfaces. The Nemo food bar offers diners the opportunity to interact with the chefs as their food is being prepared, as well as feast on samplings offered up by the chefs. Chef Michael Schwartz plans his seasonal menus around the freshest products available creating unique combinations of ingredients to achieve consistently fresh, sophisticated cuisine. His plates reflect Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern touches. Pastry Chef Hedy Goldsmith prepares homemade desserts, ice cream and sorbets.
