Playwright is an American's idea of an Irish pub, with a whitewashed exterior and low roof, and rich wood panelling and a mahogany bar inside. The atmosphere is festive, with Guinness on tap to see that it stays that way. Irish dishes like shepherd's pie and corned beef and cabbage are available, as are more American-style sandwiches, seafood plates, and steaks.
