American Irish
Pub
Emmit's Irish Pub is housed in a historic 1890's-era building that was the Italian Saving's and Trust during the Prohibition (and a notorious hang-out for mobsters). In later years, the bar was named O'Sullivans and became better known as a hangout for judges and firefighters (not to mention it's famed "dwarf-tossing" contests). These days, Emmit's is known throughout Chicago as a fun, friendly neighborhood bar where you can taste a local microbrew, watch a game on one of four television sets, and order up some Irish American cuisine. It features a full bar (including a varied collection of Scotches); large, airy windows facing Milwaukee Avenue; and a player piano.
