The cuisine in El Nuevo Frutilandia is an interesting and creative amalgam of Puerto Rican and Cuban. The hefty portions are mildly spiced. Main courses emphasize beef, pork or seafood and most come with black beans and rice. The house specialty is ropa vieja, shredded flank steak cooked in a mild Creole sauce. There are selected Spanish wines and many beers.
