The new Patroon is not quite like the old Patroon. (A flag unfurled over the entranceway reminds of how much New York has changed.) Less opulent but still pricey, today's Patroon is a steakhouse. Chef Craig Cupani prepares various cuts of beef, fish and lobster, lamb and veal. The wine list includes cognacs, malts and ports.
