Brasserie Julien, "Paris around the corner," open since January 1999, is named after Julien, the preschool son of Philippe and Cecilia Feret. Its decor features Art Deco touches with French Period Travel Posters throughout the room. The ambiance is warm and inviting, highlighted by the gorgeous new bar which features antique stained glass along with contemporary colored glass reminiscent of flames. Just a quick walk past the restaurant has lured many new fans into the room who leave excited about having found this hidden jewel on the Upper East Side. They claim the restaurant looks like it and the food could have been transported piece by piece from Paris or even downtown NYC. New Chef de Cuisine Christophe Lachavanne, with top French experience, continues the reputation of offering wonderful food and adds his own spin to the menu.

"We offer dinner, 7 nights a week. Soon we will be introducing our lounge menu which will offer shareable plates, including chocolate fondue, until the bar closes. We can host your special occasions where we can accomodate up to 120 guests seated. Also, ask us about cocktail parties and buffet receptions."
